Construction Is Under Way!
... building pickleball for all , y'all.
Bulldozers are humming inside the perimeter on Shallowford Road as workers on the ground are clearing the land, installing the drainage systems, and replacing old detention pond infrastructure to support ten new designated pickleball courts and two new designated tennis courts for Chamblee Racquet & Paddle. They’ll continue to work through the winter on excavation.
Once the ground is level, the team will start compacting the crushed stone, soil and an aggregate base to ensure a stable, level, well-draining foundation for the courts. Mike and his team from Talbot Tennis are tasked with creating beautiful playing surfaces for our customers. Patrick and his team at Qualite Sports Lighting will install state of the art LED technology for exceptional visibility.

The weather will be the biggest factor in dictating our grand opening date but we’re planing to invite you to celebrate this Spring - hopefully in that lovely month called April.
Unfortunately, we had our first big liability scare. Players are so excited about the new courts that a few nutters snuck onto the construction site to play Tennickleball last month. The police came but the players were so sweet (and the cops didn’t have handcuffs small enough anyways) so they let them go… no harm - no foul. You can see them here caught red handed on the security feed:

If all goes as planned, we will start selling memberships on February 1st, 2026 through the Play by Point system.
